Poland in Chicago

Another reason for this trip to Chicago was so that Wonderful Husband could renew his Polish passport. There is an consulate in Chicago that would allow this. Since this required biometrics, it had to be done in person and the choices were L.A., Chicago, D.C., or Poland. His passport needed to be renewed before our planned trip to Poland so this was the perfect opportunity.

The greater Chicago area has one of the largest Polish populations outside of Poland. There are many great Polish restaurants, as opposed to the one in our large metropolitan area. There was also supposed to be a Polish festival the weekend they were visiting. Apparently the festival wasn't as impressive as they had hoped, but everything else was great.

He got the passport taken care of, they had great Polish food, and the trip was deemed a success.
