Introduction to the organ

Both kids play piano, so of course they were interested in seeing a real organ. This just happens to be one of the nicest organs in the U.S. and the kids were able to hear one of the best organists play it and he even let them play on it.

Explaining the different manuals and stops. He also gave us a tour of some pipes and explained how they work.

Sweet Daughter's turn to play.

Sweet Son's turn to play.

Listening to the organ up close. They loved watching how quickly his feet moved. Shortly after this Sweet Son requested we buy an organ for our house. Preferably one just like this one. Um... here is a description of this one: "The organ now has a total of 4933 pipes across 72 ranks in 7 divisions, including a 6-rank antiphonal division that speaks from the ceiling of the rear of the church, and contains pipes from the 1920 Kilgen." This organ even has a web page. We still don't have one at home.
