My favorite science class was definitely Physics! Such a hard, but fun, class. This book would be awesome for my 10 year old non-fiction fan and science geek. :)
ReplyDeletePhysics was always fun. Those were some of the best experiments in my opinion. :)

ReplyDeleteMy favorite science class was Zoology. All the experiments with slicing and renerating flatworms, milking Sea Urchins, etc were fascinating to me.
ReplyDeleteI hated anything that involved dissecting. That's how I chose my lab partner - she loved it so I took notes!
DeleteI always loved making Borax crystals on pipe cleaners! I also loved the volcanoes with baking soda and vinegar.
ReplyDeleteI never did the volcanoes as a kid. My kids are going to do it later this month though!

ReplyDeletePhysics fun! :)
DeleteMy teacher once soaked a $100 bill in alcohol and set it on fire, but to our surprise it didn't burn! Only the alcohol burnt off!
ReplyDelete-Sierra
My first thought was what a great way to help kids remember the experiment. My second thought was how did a teacher have a spare $100 bill? I think I would have demonstrated it with a $5... haha :)
DeleteMy chemistry teacher stuck a helium hose into bubble solution and blew a tower of floating bubbles, then turned off the helium and lit it on fire. Everybody loved that.
ReplyDeleteThat's awesome! I've never seen that experiment, but would love to try it. :)

ReplyDeleteI never really got into astronomy, until my son became interested in it. It's amazing how much our kids teach us. :)
DeleteExperimenting with magnets was really cool!
ReplyDeleteAnother favorite of mine. :)
DeleteAlmost all science! I love, love, love science and teaching it to little ones. I think my favorite subjects to teach are about the brain and our bodies or really, whatever the kid is most interested in!
ReplyDeleteI have so many cool body things - games, diagrams, books, etc. I almost bought a model of the brain, but resisted because of the price.
DeleteMy favorite science class is Microbiology.
ReplyDeleteI love the variety of everyone's answers!
DeleteI almost decided to go to Vet school, so biology and anatomy were my favorite classes!
ReplyDeletesarah.zaengle at yahoo dot com
I'm sure you would have made a great Vet!
DeleteI always liked the experiences where you mixed chemicals to see the reaction.
ReplyDeleteThat's a good one. :) I just signed my kids up for a Chemistry class to surprise them.
Deletegosh, that was so long ago I can't even remember. But I did then and still do like science.
ReplyDeleteHah, I used to say I couldn't remember something because "I've slept since then." Now that I have kids it's more like I can't remember things because I haven't slept since then. :)
DeleteI loved physics senior year!
ReplyDeleteAwesome!
