Ice Skating

The hotter it is outside, the more we appreciate ice skating. This post has a surprise at the end.

They are becoming more confident on their skates.

They are skating faster and without help. Clearly it is time for a new challenge.

That's right. We signed them up for hockey. There is a great program near us called Little Rookies. It is a month of once a week hockey classes. It is FREE and includes the use of full equipment. This is a great chance to find out if they like hockey before making a full investment. Come back tomorrow to see photos of their first class.

Ice Skating Videos

This is a continuation of yesterday's post. Here is the video proof that the kids are getting better at ice skating.

Using the skating help to build confidence.

Slow but steady, really slow and mostly steady anyway

Learning to Ice Skate

The previous way of teaching the kids to skate was for Wonderful Husband to hold their hands which was getting hard on his back. This time the rink had these great pvc poles to help.

The kids would push it in front of them and then skate to it.

She was the first to get brave and go it on her own.

He wasn't far behind. (It looks like he's dancing here.)

Those are the smiles of 3 accomplished skaters.

Come back tomorrow for video of their skating!
