Ski trips are about more than just skiing. We also get to play in the snow! Ok, I was only outside for a little while before going in and sitting by the heater and reading a book, but the kids stayed out for over an hour.
They found a big snowdrift behind the hotel
Practicing snowball making
They made fresh tracks
Throwing snowballs
I'm not really sure what they are doing here, but it makes me laugh!
After a warm up remembering how to ski, the kids wanted to try some new things.
This was a winding trail through the trees. It had bumps, quick turns, and wasn't big enough to ski side by side. We did it a few times and it was challenging for the kids. No videos of this because we needed to focus on them.
Another fun activity in our town square is the snow! Every weekend they have snow machines that go on at the top and bottom of the hour. They play Christmas music from speakers you can hear throughout the area. The lights are also synchronized to the music.
In case the attire of the people confuses you, it is about 60F or 15C outside.
Snow is always exciting. Especially when it doesn't cause any safety or traffic issues!
