Private Beach on Jamaica

We paid to go to a private beach owned by the cruise company while in Jamaica. The water was beautiful and the kids wanted to swim all the way to the ropes.

The nice water
Only, Sweet Daughter somehow let the rope touch her back and was bitten by some awful thing.
She spent an hour screaming in pain. After tracking down the lifeguard (asleep behind the lifeguard tower), he gave us some cream to put on it. That didn't help. I took her back to the boat and gave her some anti-inflammatories and a shower. She calmed down about 30 minutes after that.

While I was taking care of Sweet Daughter, The boys continued to play at the beach.

Look what I found!

It's the perfect hat!

This is happy guy.

Playa Mia boats and beach

Last post about Playa Mia, until we go back next time that is! We really enjoyed this place.

They had many different types of boats to try

Just peddling around

She loved being able to steer

All of us on the beach

They work hard in the sand while I relax

Playa Mia pools

There were multiple pools at Playa Mia in addition to the other features I have shown in the last two posts.

Water Slides
This is the first time they were tall enough to do a big water slide by themselves.

Enjoying the pool

Trying stunts

All smiles!

She loves being thrown in the air

More Playa Mia

There is an awesome ocean playground at Playa Mia. We swam out to it and then enjoyed some awesome experiences on the obstacle course.

Ready to swim toward it

Some teens were helping people cross this particular obstacle.
Here they are helping Sweet Daughter get the trapeze

Here they are catching Sweet Son and getting him back onto the course

Another obstacle

I helped both kids up the egg, then I swam around it because I couldn't get up

Almost done, seeing how far out we can go before we are dumped into the ocean

There were other obstacles we don't have photos of. It was a circular path with an island in the middle. I fell off more than anyone else. It was fun and challenging. I highly recommend it.

Playa Mia

On one of our stops on the cruise we went to Playa Mia in Cozumel. Here is the splash park that is included in entry.

Pirate ship, many animals, slides, etc.

Even I enjoyed the tiny slides, haha

He felt inspired by the pirate ship

Just hanging out under the tree, hoping the clouds don't get us wet, hah!

Splash Park on a Cruise

One of the great things about this ship is it not only has multiple pools and hot tubs, but an entire splash park for the kids. We spent many hours here over the course of the week.

Viewing it from one side

The other side included multiple pools
There were two supervised kids slides in addition to the typical splash park features

Both kids are in this photo.
They are both under the giant bucket being dumped directly on them.

Denver Children's Museum, part 3

When a children's museum suggests everyone wear a rain jacket for one area, you really should take one. It was so much fun!

Water Balloons

When you get back from a bike ride and you want to cool down, 100 water balloons are a great idea.

Filling them

Throwing balloons at the house

Throwing them on the roof

They also threw them in the tree, on the tree, and all over the fence. It was fun and as always went way too quickly.

Sprinklers

Beautiful weather means water fun. Some days the pool is closed for maintenance, so we get creative.

It's a water slide...

Using a racquet to keep water off his face (it didn't work)

Different day, now playing with sprinklers in the front yard

Jump!

Wee!

Wroclaw Fountains

The city center in Wroclaw has a beautiful fountain that the kids love to go see. We also found another fountain as we were walking around town.

Touching the water in the city square fountain.

Posing with family in front of the fountain.

We found this fountain shortly after the first. The kids really wanted to touch the water. They were having so much fun and not hurting anyone so we let them. Fairly quickly they were soaked. Come back tomorrow to see what the after effect of this fountain really was.

Hot Springs and Pools

Our resort had hot springs and pools - 14 total. Half were fed by hot springs going up the side of the mountain. So the one at the top was the hottest and as it went down they got progressively cooler, but still quite warm. The others were chilly, but a nice balance. They actually had them arranged so as you went up the steps all the one on the left were hot springs and the ones on the right cool.

The whole family in a hot spring. There was a little slide that one of our kids loved. The adults also had a bit of fun with the water slides.

One evening we ordered food from the bar and ate it next to the pool. We made the kids eat outside the pool, but some of the adults could sit in the warm water to eat their food.

The family in a hot spring during the day. You can see the steps up to the water slide on our right and the volcano (with no clouds around the top) in the background. I can't even describe how beautiful this place is. You can't see it but the resort zip line is also going above our heads.

One of the higher hot spring pools had these little private grottos. These were more crowded in the evening, but early in the day we were able to get a photo. This was a very hot pool and the kids couldn't stay in it for long. We only let them get their legs in, not the rest of their bodies. It felt warmer than most hot tubs and I know hot tubs aren't safe for kids.
